If you are having trouble sending information from NAV 2009 to Microsoft Excel or Word, these are the things I normally try:

1. Reinstall NAV

2. Install or reinstall MSXML 4.0 sP2

Now you should be able to select 1 or more records in NAV and then click the Excel or Word buttons (or CTRL-W or CTRL-E).
