Problem Opening up Projects from Celtx Studio in Ubuntu 11.04 Netbook Edition

Well, after recently purchasing my Celtx Studio membership (which is great when you want to share the project with your crew, and you want them to update the project file and not have issues overwriting each other’s work), I found I had a problem with opening the project files from the Internet.

Using Firefox for Linux I always get a message saying that Firefox can’t open the file because the celtxs protocol is not registered or some such message.

I asked for help in the forums (below) but still no luck:

I followed the instructions in this post, still with no luck:

Although the issue is yet to be resolved, and I’ve tried going to the latest version of Firefox, reinstalling from scratch, etc. I have found a workaround.

I installed Opera for Linux, and then had to configure the Programs under Preferences, and added the celtxs media type, and pointed it to my installation in /usr/local/celtx/celtx with %s parameter.

Voila, not perfect, but it’s a workaround.

If anyone has any info on how they’ve resolved this, I’d love to give it a try.

Thanks,
