Free Improv Workshops in Austin, Texas

The Institution Theater is offering anyone and everyone a chance for you to learn something about the Art Of Improvisation by offering THREE FREE IMPROV WORKSHOPS!!!!

You have your choice between three FREE IMPROV WORKSHOPS on Tuesday, July 27th at Studio 1308 (1308 East 7th Street, at the corner of 7th & Navasota), Wednesday, July 28th at the United States Arts Authority (2906 Fruth Street) OR Thursday, July 29th at Studio 1308). All three IMPROV WORKSHOPS will run from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m and are completely FREE.

Tom Booker, the Artistic Director of The Institution Theater, will lead the FREE IMPROV WORKSHOPS. Before moving to Austin, Tom Booker taught at The Second City Training Center in Los Angeles where he used his improv skills to book more than 75 commercials. Before moving to Los Angeles, Tom Booker studied at The Second City in Chicago, trained with legendary improv Guru Del Close at The ImprovOlympic and helped to start Chicago’s Annoyance Theatre. Tom Booker has been studying and teaching improvisation for more than 24 years.

Please leave your name, phone number, the number of people that will be attending the workshop and whether you would like to attend the workshop on Tuesday, July 27th, Wednesday, July 28th OR Thursday, July 29th (These are three separate one-evening workshops. You do not need to be available to attend all three nights. It’s the exact same workshop being presented three times.)

Remember, everyone is welcome regardless of experience or skill level. You will learn a lot and you will laugh a lot.
